During our Kingdom Kids services last month, we learned more about God’s perfect plan of salvation and the importance of sharing the gospel with each generation. We looked at the consequences of sin in our lives and how God sent Jesus to make a way for us to conquer sin and follow Him.

This month we are starting into the Biblical Fall Feast season! We will start the month with Rosh Hashana which begins the new year on the Jewish calendar. We’ll see how people in the Bible would take this time to evaluate their lives and realign their lives where necessary with their Savior. We’ll also get to enjoy some yummy treats to usher in a “sweet new year”.

Next, we will observe Yom Kippur, also called the Day of Atonement. It is a time to reflect on how our redemption cost something. Sin has a consequence. We can praise our Father in Heaven that He sent Jesus to pay the price of our rebellion and once again look to Jesus as our hope and salvation.

Next, we will learn why the Israelites spent a whole week feasting
together and living in tents called sukkahs. We will retell the story that’s become known as a Christmas story, when Jesus was born. We’ll celebrate that “the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us.”

Our preschoolers are learning how obedience is important and makes God happy. They will also learn about some people in the Bible whose lives were completely changed by choosing to obey Jesus.

The Lord said to Moses, “Tell The people of Israel:
‘You wIll announce The lord’s appoInted feasts as holy meetings. These are my special feasts.’”
